Peter Grisé is a Toronto therapist featured in Today’s Parent and Chatelaine Online, with over 100,000 views on Youtube. His bed wetting therapy is not medical, it’s behavioral. He has helped hundreds of families in Ontario with a 90% success rate and average time to dry of 6 weeks. Think of it as ‘advanced potty training’.
The first question that most people ask is “Are you a doctor?”
In all the years I’ve been helping families to end bed wetting, I’ve heard of only five doctors who are really interested in bed wetting problems. One in Washington, one in Chicago, and one in Canada. Bed wetting is rarely a medical condition; it’s a habit exacerbated by food sensitivities and problem sleep.
The only remedy for bed wetting in medical training, is medication, and you don’t want that. Medications just prevent the kidneys from working overnight. I have taken the courses taught to ‘enuresis’ nurses in a hospital to help me rule out medical causes of bed wetting…. in one case I could clearly see that a child had diabetes unknown to the parents.
If your child doesn’t wet in the daytime, there isn’t likely a physical cause. And even then, the cause is likely not medical in nature. In order to have a fast, fun and sure end to bed wetting you just need to change the causes and institute new habits to fix bladder and food issues, deep sleep, and a lot of motivation. You could do this on your own with one of our Ebooks, but coaching is the more effective solution.

Our ‘drykids method’ combines the best of the Try for Dry bed wetting therapy program of Chicago Memorial, with the best of the practical methods used by U.S. consulting companies for decades. But don’t take my word for it, because my clients can explain the DryKids technique better than I can:

DryKids therapy is a practical program that first rules out medical issues, then assesses the causes and teaches bed wetting solutions to fix the causes of the bed wetting. With new skills the parents and child learn how to change sleep patterns and “hold it” all night. Following up with very frequent conversations, we lead parents step by step over several weeks until the child is completely dry at night. The “4 Step” process takes an average of 6 weeks:
4 steps to end bed wetting naturally
When a child or adult wets at night either the bladder isn’t sending a good signal, or the sleep is so deep for so long that there is no recognition of the signal. Our bed wetting treatment concentrates on both with bladder toning and sleep training
- Establishing the arousal: learning to wake up when starting to wet
- Learning to wake before the wetting starts.
- Learning how to make the ‘hold it’ decision when waking up during the night
- Learning to make that decision without waking at all.
A bed wetting coach will lead parents through these steps fairly quickly in most cases. There are different methods including hydration, bladder toning, and guided imagery at bed time, to take the child from one step to the next. Most children can learn in three to eight weeks to ‘hold it all night’ and never go back to wetting again.
First step to end bed wetting:
A free telephone consult to determine the causes in your case. Then a 90-minute session to assess the causes, and teach remedies.
Follow-up by phone and email every few days, to monitor the progress and lead the parents through the 4 Steps to Dry. Average time to dry is 8 weeks; it really works, or your money back!
